KEK10 Lifelong Learning Centre, a Lifelong Learning Centre certified by the National Organisation for the Certification of Qualifications and Vocational Guidance (EOPPEP) and the Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports (certification code:2100427), runs seminars for experienced vehicle technicians to obtain the Brake System Technician licence.
Training Certification Certificates are issued as required by Law for obtaining a licence to practise (based on the syllabus set by Decision no. 73102/715/1988 (Government Gazette B 302) of the Minister of Transport and Communications).
The programme is designed for employees, technicians and others in the automotive sector who want to organise, complete or update their knowledge and skills in inspecting, maintaining and repairing vehicle braking systems.
Who It Is For
The programme is for technicians and employees in vehicle repair and maintenance who want to strengthen, complete or update their knowledge of braking systems. It is also for staff of car and commercial vehicle workshops and related technical businesses, and for people who want organised vocational training in braking systems.
It is also for technical staff who need systematic revision and updating of their knowledge of the operating principles, inspection and diagnosis procedures, and safety rules that govern vehicle braking systems.
Programme Cost
The programme costs €350.

Expected Results
On completing the programme, trainees are expected to have gained, and be able to apply, basic knowledge of how vehicle braking systems and their individual components work. In particular, they will be able to recognise the main components, their functions and possible wear and malfunctions, carry out basic checks and spot signs of problems in the braking system.
They will also be familiar with the basic inspection and diagnosis procedures, and with the required practices and safety rules when carrying out maintenance and repair work. In addition, they will be able to make a basic assessment of the condition of braking systems, recognise cases that need further technical inspection and apply what they have learnt in their professional work, strengthening their technical competence and updating their knowledge in line with the sector’s current requirements.
Teaching Method and Material
The training is based on linking theory with technical application. It uses explanatory texts, functional diagrams, technical examples, comparative checks, diagnostic scenarios and case studies. The teaching approach emphasises understanding how things work and well-founded diagnosis, not memorising lists of faults.
Where specific values, wear limits, pressures, tightening torques, electrical values or special procedures are needed, the technical data and instructions of the manufacturer of the specific vehicle or component are used.
Certificate of Attendance
After successfully completing the programme, participants receive a Training Certificate accompanied by a Diploma Supplement.
Important information about the professional licence
Note: The seminar certificate is not in itself a licence to practise and does not guarantee that one will be issued. The requirements are examined by the competent Regional Directorate of Transport on the basis of each candidate’s qualifications, previous experience and other documents.
Before registering, applicants are advised to confirm in writing with the competent office whether this training can be used in their personal file.
