Thematic module 1: Profession and legal framework
Thematic module 2: Health, safety and environmental management
Thematic module 3: Technology and operation of diesel engines
Thematic module 4: Low-pressure fuel supply system
Thematic module 5: Conventional diesel injection pumps
Thematic module 6: Injectors, nozzles and spray tips
Thematic module 7: Diesel engine electronic management
Thematic module 8: Modern Common Rail injection systems
Thematic module 9: Diagnosis, testing and fault repair
Thematic module 10: Maintenance, quality of work and assessment
Expected Results
On completing the training, trainees will have a complete knowledge of how diesel engines and fuel systems work; they will be able to test low-pressure circuits and conventional injection pumps, test injectors and nozzles, and understand electronic management, the operation of sensors and actuators and the use of diagnostic data. They will also be able to test modern Common Rail systems, apply methodical fault diagnosis and repair procedures and work safely, following the required maintenance, documentation and quality-control practices.
Teaching Method and Material
The course design follows the methodology of Open and Distance e-learning. Teaching through an asynchronous distance learning system is based mainly on self-paced study of the teaching material and on activities, so as to ensure a high degree of autonomy for the Trainee.
Each part includes:
- asynchronous online teaching on a distance learning platform, so that trainees choose their own schedule for studying the teaching material,
- Assessment activities.
Certificate of Attendance
After successfully completing the programme, participants receive a Training Certificate accompanied by a Diploma Supplement.
Important information about the professional licence
Note: The certificate of attendance is not in itself a professional licence and does not guarantee that one will be issued. Before registering, applicants should confirm with the competent Regional Directorate of Transport the requirements that apply to their qualifications, previous experience and personal file.
