Object of Action
The objective of the Action is the provision of theoretical training services leading to the certification of knowledge and skills in specific areas of expertise
Purpose of the Programme
The aim of the training programme is the upskilling and reskilling of those employed in the tourism sector.
Duration of the Programme – Method of Implementation
Each trainee will attend 250 hours of theoretical training in the specialty of his/her choice, within a period not exceeding three (3) months. The training programmes will be delivered entirely through distance asynchronous training
Training Objects
(a) Reception services and digital skills
(b) Food and hygiene and food safety
(d) Forage services and environmental management
(e) Outdoor Recreational Tourism Activities Facilitator
(f) Spa/Thalassotherapy services – SPA
Eligibility – Beneficiaries
Beneficiaries who have at least two hundred (200) daily wages in the last ten years in the tourism sector or in a specialty related to the training specialty and belong to one of the following categories are eligible to participate:
(a) Seasonal workers of tourism enterprises
(b) Temporarily unemployed and long-term unemployed in the tourism sector
(c) Employees of tourism enterprises whose employment contracts were suspended in 2020 and/or 2021 due to the temporary cessation or suspension of the operation of the enterprises in which they were working, in the context of measures taken to prevent and combat the spread of COVID;
Education allowance
Each trainee will receive a training allowance of €1,250 (€5 for each hour of attendance), subject to participation in the certification exams.
