First Aid for infants, children and adults
KEK10 K.D.B.M., certified by the National Organization for Qualifications and Vocational Guidance (EOPPEP) and the Ministry of Education, Religion and Sports (certification code: 2100427), implements the seminar “First Aid to infants, children and adults”, which leads to a training certificate.
Its purpose is to familiarize students with the basic knowledge of first aid in emergency situations for the health and life of people.
Who it is addressed to
For private stakeholders, health professionals, coaches, safety officers, private school workers, service and industry workers and anyone interested in acquiring first aid skills.
Duration
The programme has a total duration of 120 hours, is implemented over a period of 1.5 months and corresponds to 6 ECVET credits.
Expected Results
After the end of the training, the trainee will be able to:
- safely uses breathing support and circulatory resuscitation techniques.
- provides help and support to the patient-patient safely.
- use airway clearance techniques in adults and understand the differences between them and those used in children and infants.
- understand and avoid the dangers that can lead to drowning.
- identify and deal with events that pose an immediate risk to the patient’s life after a stroke.
- recognise the damage and injuries of heat burn and treat them.
- lists the body temperature measurement points and the normal values at each point.
- applies the cleaning of a wound safely.
- recognise bone and joint injuries and provide first aid
- applies the correct techniques for cleaning and treating snake wounds.
- gives first aid to people exposed to inhaled toxic substances.
- provides first aid for carbon monoxide poisoning.
- controls the bleeding caused by a foreign body on the skin.
Implementation method
The educational design follows the methodology that supports Open and Distance e-learning. Teaching through an asynchronous tele-education system is mainly based on the asynchronous study of the educational material and development of activities, in order to ensure to a large extent the autonomy of the Learner.
Each part includes:
- asynchronous online teaching via a tele-education platform, so that the trainee can choose his/her own personal educational time frame to study the educational material,
- additional Training Material,
- Evaluation activities.
Certificate of Attendance
Upon completion of the program and if there is no financial obligation, the trainee takes part in certification exams by the certified training body GLOBAL CERT S.A.
The duration of the certificate is 10 years.
