The training programmes for “Safety Technicians B <\/strong> or C category of risk<\/strong>“, which last 35 hours (7 days of training) and 10 hours (2 days of training) respectively, are submitted to the Ministry of Labour – Directorate D9. At the end of the course, if the Ministry has issued an approval decision, the Training Certificate is issued within 10 days. Once the Training Certificate is issued, the employer himself will be able to register as a safety technician and at the same time terminate the contract for the assignment of safety technician duties. Until the employer – company has obtained the Certificate of Training, the employer – company will have to delegate the tasks of the Safety Technician either to an external partner or to External Protection and Prevention Services (EXYPP). <\/p>\n

According to the current legislation on safety and health of employees, in all enterprises, regardless of the sector of economic activity and the number of employees, the employer has the obligation to provide employees with protection and prevention services, i.e. safety technician services. This certificate is now a prerequisite<\/strong>  for every company..<\/p>\n

Content of the seminar<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Safety Technician Seminar is for all employers. According to the current legislation, every employer who employs staff must have a person responsible for the safety and health of employees in the workplace \/ safety technician.     <\/p>\n

The safety technician is an advisor to the employer and the employees, and his\/her mission is briefly:<\/p>\n

(a) to regularly inspect workplaces from a health and safety point of view, report to the employer any failure of health and safety measures, propose remedial measures and supervise their implementation.<\/p>\n

(b) to ensure that employees within the undertaking comply with the rules of occupational health and safety and to instruct them in how to prevent occupational hazards arising from their work.<\/p>\n

The employer is also required to have a written assessment of the risks in his undertaking, drawn up by the safety technician. In the written risk assessment, a systematic examination of all aspects of any work carried out is made and recorded:<\/p>\n

  • What could cause damage and harm.<\/li>\n
  • Whether and to what extent the potential hazards could be eliminated<\/li>\n
  • What prevention and protection measures are or should be implemented.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    To determine the qualifications of the safety technician and to calculate the length of time he\/she has been employed, undertakings are divided into three categories: A (high risk), B (medium risk) and C (low risk).<\/p>\n

    The safety technician’s working time depends on the number of employees and the risk of the enterprise.<\/p>\n

    The cost of participation is 70\u20ac<\/strong> for Category C programmes and 130\u20ac<\/strong> for Category B programmes.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
